Hi, all. Well, Seth got sick, and then I came down with it. I haven't thrown up since Sunday morning, but now that the nausea has subsided, I have a cold. Ugh. But it's not a bad one! =)
I've started Persuasion by A.S. Byatt today during nap time. I think it's going to be good. A novel about a historical researcher is right up my alley. And I found this quote right off the bat...
"The individual appears for an instant, joins the community of thought, modifies it and dies; but the species, that dies not, reaps the fruit of his ephemeral existence."- Persuasion, p. 6
I think this is an auspicious beginning to the book... =) I like big words and I cannot lie.
But... that is not why I write tonight, gentle readers. I have found a template that tempts me, truly tempts me, to give up the gnomes. I know, I know, you've heard it before. But indulge me. Go here, and tell me what you think... It's widget friendly.

Flowers are fleeting but gnomes are forever.

Oh, I think the flowers are lovely, Ellen. But, it would make the blog decidedly more girlie.
Well, I love it. Of course, I loved the other test blog, too. (That was because it was brown.) But really. It's nice. Of course, I will read your blog regardless of whether or not is has gnomes. :)
My sister updates her looks, too, and found a good deal at:

I'm not big on gnomes; the flowers are a little nicer.
love the flowers... keep this one!!
(and yes, it's girlie...but who cares... you're a girl)
Well, I guess the masses have spoken. Purple flowers it is. =)
Oh yeah, Dawn, those are really cute templates! But... my favorite price is free. =) Someday I'll put up a link list of all the free template places I've found on the web.
Sorry to hear you’re sick.--being sick is never fun!
I like the flowers...I LOVE purple...but I second David--GNOMES are FOREVER! ;)
I know, I know I shouldn't be here talking about your blog when I haven't gotten mine up and going yet...but I will! I sat down to do it the other day and then started to do a little research about posting pictures--I don't want them all stacked up at the top of the post...so I found how to do it...but being computer stupid as I am I'm waiting for Drew to give me a little lesson. I guess I could go ahead and post anyways. But since mine is going to mainly be pictures I wanted to do it right--post and write about that picture then another pic and write about it and so on. See what I mean? You should be impressed I did research...I don't usually do stuff like that! :)

I like the new one! So pretty! Love it! Thanks for finding these, they are very pretty and even tempted me to change mine! I guess I was ready for a change too.
Ellen,
I haven't done any research about templates, but my sister has an e-bay store, etc., so I think she is trying to link the 2. Perhaps that's why she pays?
Myfamily.com allows you to post photos and captions and comments, etc.
I like the flowers too. I'll miss the gnomes, but change is nice sometimes. :) Sorry to hear you're sick...hope you feel better soon!
It's pretty! Or gorgeous, which is my 2-year-old nephew's new favorite word! ;) (Well, that and meaney-face... sigh... big brothers teach you so much...)
