Help me, homeschoolers!

Ok, so I’m representing all homeschoolers everywhere again tomorrow at the MOPs school forum. Fun. =)

This time I pulled together some info on local homeschooling groups and places to buy curriculum, etc.

But I need help with a sweet, non-offensive, deeply profound, yet short, answer to this question: “Why did you choose homeschooling for your children?” So, all you homeschoolers out there, help me out! You have 5 minutes… go. =)

Ahhh, yes, Brandy. I was hoping to get your attention. =) I figured you had something in the archives.

I found a classic post from A Holy Experience that deals with her reasons...

I just find it so hard to figure out how to distill all my deeply held beliefs into a few words... =)

I'd love to see that Holy Experience link if you have the chance to post it!

We homeschool so that we can teach our children to live Coram Deo (before the face of God) in all subjects, at all times, and in all seasons. We want to know their hearts. We want to instruct their hearts. And we want to be able to quickly bring them to the cross to repent and seek God's forgiveness. We want for their education to be excellent, but that takes second place to their education teaching them to know God in history, math, english, penmanship, science, geography, etc. I liked the link that the other lady posted--much better thought out than my ideas, so I profited from it as well.
You probably already have this, but if not, one of the best web resources is www.rainbowresource.com for anyone at the point of buying curriculum.
Hope your little gang is doing well!

Thanks, Katrin. I appreciate your input. And I'll tell them about that website. Just the picture of the ladies at customer service made me want to call them and unburden myself of all my troubles. =)

Brandy, I'll try and remember to post that link soon...
